AnyBackup uses GaussDB special backup tool Roach for backup. For details, see How Backup Works.
At the first backup, a full backup will be performed, then you can set the backup mode to full or incremental backup as needed. For more information, see Starting a Backup Job.
In AnyBackup, the backup of GaussDB database is agent-based backup, that is, you need to install agent on the host where all the GaussDB data nodes reside before backup, for AnyBackup requires an external client to access GaussDB database. For how to install or uninstall external client, see User Guide for Client Software Installation and Uninstallation.
