If a node is added in your failover cluster, you need to install the client on the new node first for backup of VMs on the new node, see Basic Configuration for how to install and assign clients for new nodes. Afterwards, you need to edit the Hyper-V virtualization platform, to add the new node to the Hyper-V virtualization platform, see Editing a Hyper-V Virtualization Platform for details. Finally, you can refer to Steps for Creating a Backup Job to complete the backup of the new node.
