Introduction

Security Levels are designed to restrict the rules for collaboration and document access. There are three types of security levels, including System Security Levels, File Security Levels, User Security Levels. Each type is consisted of Unclassified, Internal, Secret, and Classified.

Types of Security Levels
  • System Security Level
System Security Level is for the whole server system, which can be used to mark the highest level of the current system. Only System Admin or Super Admin can set the system security level. The settings of system security levels can only be ascending order, but not vice versa. User Security Level and File Security Level should conform to the settings of System Security level.
  • File Security Level
File Security Level as the fixed attributes of files, cannot be changed even if the file content, file name or location is changed. File Security Levels can be set by file owners.
  • User Security Level
User Security Level cannot be changed even if the user organization is changed. Only Security Admins and Super Admins can set the User Security Levels.

If Admin has enabled the Preset of Security Level, users will be required to set security levels for files when upload. Otherwise, users will not be able to upload files.
When you are upload files, the Preset window will pop out. You are required to set the security level of all files. Otherwise, the upload will be cancelled. If Admin has enabled the automatic recognition of security levels, AnyShare can identify the security levels of the files according to the file name. Meanwhile, you can also select multiple files for batch settings.
 
  • View and Change Security Levels

To change file security levels, you can click Attributes→Edit in Security Levels, and then you can change the validity, Access Scope, Reason and click OK to confirm.
Please note that if Admin has enabled the Security Level Approval, you will require to submit approvals for each changing.
  • Security Level Approvals
For Users: If users have changed the security levels, approvals will be sent to the relevant approvers automatically.  If the approver has approved or rejected the request, users will also receive the message notifications. On the Security Level Approval page, user can view all the requests.
  • Security Levels for Files in Real-name Share
If a shared file is set for security levels, and the user who is shared with does not have the sufficient user security level for this file, then the user will not be able to view the file.
