1.What’s the difference between Admin and General Admin?
Admin can manage the system, operations, as well as all the users and documents, while General Admin only takes charge of the users and documents within his managing range.
Admin sets ordinary users as General Admin to assist Admin with users and files management.
2.How to upgrade the cluster storage when it is in normal use?
If AnyShare is installed in virtual machine, Admin can add hard disks to the cluster in the virtual platform directly, and then log in to Web Console, and add the new disks to the storage pool in Web console.
If you are using an AnyShare appliance, you can insert hard disks to the appliance first. Then, enter RAID Management to initialize the disks. Last, enter Storage Pool and add the initialized RAID to the storage pool.
3.What shall I do if the storage-pool disk is offline? Shall I remove it from the storage-pool?
Please cantact the AnyShare technician team first. For the risk of data loss, please do not remove the disk from Storage Pool.
4. I cannot receive the alerts email even if I have enabled system alerts. What’s the problem with that?
This might be caused by the configuration error of SMTP server or SMTP configuration error.
First, please enter SMTP configuration, type the email address and SMTP info to test. If the the mail isn't received, then it is the SMTP server configuration error.
If the mail is received, Admin shall enter Systems Alerts to test whether the recipient email address is properly configured. If the recipient cannot receive the test mail, the email address is incorrect.
