Document Domain Overview
A Document Domain represents a complete AnyShare system that serves as an administrative and authorization boundary. Each domain can encompass 1 to n sites (with each site representing one cluster). Users, documents, permissions, and policies are integrated within one Document Domain.
Terms
• Document Domains Management: The collaboration and management among multiple document domains, including policy control and file synchronization.
• AnyShare Instance: One instance corresponds with one Management Console.
• Policy Control: The controlling behavior conducted by Parent Document Domain to Child Domain.
• Parent-Child Document Domain: The two document domains in which one controls the other.
• Parent Document Domain: The document domain that controls the other one.
• Child Document Domain: The document domain that is being controlled by the other one.
• Documents Synchronization: After the file is changed in the source, the sync will be triggered, and data will be synced to the target document library.
• Synchronization Source: Document domains that can initiate sync tasks.
• Direct Connection Mode: File can be uploaded from source to target by HTTPS protocols for synchronization.
• Non-direct Connection Mode: File synchronization is achieved by switching devices in the source.
